NIGHT STORAGE HEATER

Compare the cost of heating with AC against an electric night storage heater. Simply replace the default settings in the blue boxes by entering your normal daytime cost for electricity before setting your estimated demand and hourly usage per day.

The off-peak charging period for storage heaters is automatically calculated to be 50% off your normal daytime tariff.

By default, the air conditioner's SCOP value has been set to 4.60, but this can be changed up or down according to your model specifications.
